Special Education Needs and Disability
Cornfields Local Offer
Cornfields Day Nursery is dedicated to the inclusion of children with special educational needs.
Cornfields has been successfully working with children with a special Educational need for the last 20 years, we are able to give them the care and support needed through our SENCO (Special educational needs Coordinator) and close key person child relationships. We are proud of our partnerships with parents and we ensure that we work closely alongside them to offer the support that they need.
We also work alongside other early years professionals to ensure that we are able to plan, implement, monitor, review and evaluate the development and inclusion of special needs children within our nursery.
The Local Offer
Kirklees council is working with parents, carers, young people, schools, colleges, early years providers and the health service to produce the local offer.
The local offer has been developed as part of the new children and families Act 2014. It aims to provide information on education, health and social care provision available for disabled children and young people and those with special educational needs, in a way that can be accessed quickly and easily.
