Kirklees Funding
Government Funded Childcare from 9 Months
We are pleased to offer government-funded childcare places for eligible working families with children from 9 months old. This funding can help towards the cost of your child’s early years care and education, giving families more support while their little ones learn, play and grow in a safe and nurturing environment.
Eligible families may be able to access up to 30 hours of funded childcare per week, for 38 weeks of the year, from the term after their child turns 9 months old. We can also stretch this funding across 51 weeks, helping families spread their funded hours more evenly throughout the year. Parents will need to apply through the government childcare service and provide us with their eligibility code before their funded place can begin.
If you are unsure whether you qualify or would like help understanding how the funding works, please speak to a member of our team. We will be happy to guide you through the process and explain how funded hours can be used at our setting.
To help us provide snacks, consumables and extra activities for the children, we may ask for a voluntary hourly contribution alongside funded hours.
We’ll be happy to explain this in more detail during your show-around.
